Early Morning Antics

(Eva with her dollar coin the tooth fairly left.)

At 4:00am on Wednesday, Eva called for me, "Come see what the tooth
fairy left for me." After admiring the dollar coin, going potty, and
chatting a bit, we finally went back to sleep around 5:00.

Yesterday, I learnd that Eva is the first "zookeeper of the week" in her
class, which means she gets to help care for the class pet -- a gecko
named Lou! She is thrilled to have this responsibility. I asked if she
got to hold Lou, and she said, "no, he's too wiggly."

Today, I helped in Eva's class, which is always a treat. I got lots and
lots of hugs and cuddles and they weren't all from Eva. We went outside
to find leaves for them to make leaf rubbings. They were all very
excited to see their "book buddies" on the big-kids playground, and the
book buddies were happy to see the little ones, too.

We have a fun weekend planned with tee-ball Saturday morning, and I am
helping to host a baby shower Saturday early evening. Eva and her
sitter, Jessie, will go bowling and out to dinner, so I am sure Eva
won't have time to miss me. On Sunday, Eva will sing with the youngest
children's choir at church, and then she has 2 birthday parties. I am
hoping she will sleep in transit; if not, we will need to make an early
exit at party number 2.

I hope you all have a great weekend.
