Drama Camp

A little over a week ago, Eva finished her Nashville Children’s Theatre camp experience by being one of three children who played “Marjorie,” the title character in “The Cow who Laid an Egg.” Marjorie laments her ordinariness; Eva’s big line was, “I can’t ride bicycles and do handstands like the other cows.” Then, one day, Marjorie lays an egg. Of course, all the other cows and the chickens question this phenomenon. Meanwhile, Marjorie just keeps her egg warm. Finally, the egg cracks and out comes what appears to be a chick, which causes all the other cows and chickens to tease Marjorie, UNTIL the “chick” moos a huge MOO. J Eva had a great time at this camp and hopes to go for more sessions next year. The good news is this camp has before and after care that Eva enjoyed as well. She spent a lot of time jumping rope and got very good at it. This week, she is back at Camp Widjiwagan and is thrilled, although she came home with 3 cuts and scrapes – more in one day than in the last 2-week session at Widjiwagan. Just keep your fingers crossed that she doesn’t come home with strep throat again this time.
