Eva and Ocelot

I know, I've been derelict in updating. But if I could tell you what
I've been up to at work of late, you'd understand. I hope you will
anyway.

So, just a quick post to put up some new pictures of Eva and her
(obviously) beloved Ocelot. The second one is the one she really wanted
me to take -- of Ocelot's bottom. Yep, we've hit the "potty humor"
stage. Lovely!

A few updates

The latest and greatest quote is: "Mom, monsters ARE real. They're just extinct."

We've made our first trip to Lenscrafters for repairs! And then the glasses survived a nasty-playground-face plant-fall on Friday. Eva's nose didn't fare so well. She had a bloody nose and swelling, and I had to take her home from school, but by Saturday afternoon she was doing great. She's one tough cookie!

We had absolutely beautiful weather here today, and Eva spent a lot of time outdoors. She had a 3-hour play date with her friend, Yulia! Yulia's mom reported that at the park they were talking into a megaphone-type contraption with Eva yelling, "Listen up. Yulia rocks"! And with Yulia saying, "Everyone look at me-- Eva's my best friend"! In other words, Eva (and Yulia) had a fabulous day.

While Eva was on her lark, I enjoyed reading the paper outside, catching up with my sister by phone and finishing an interesting book, The Caliph's House.
